Astronaut Training Itinerary:

   Day one - Arrival in Moscow. Meeting at Sheremetyevo International/ Domodedovo Airport. You will be accommodated in a Cosmos Hotel.

   Day two - You will be transferred to the Russian Star City, located in 15.5 miles / 25 km to the east from Moscow, by the company's comfortable bus, together with a guide-interpreter. After small medical check (physical condition, psychological stability) experts of Star City will tell about main elements of the ORLAN extra-vehicular Space Suit, rules of an entrance, closing and an exit from a Suit, instructions for use communication, the safety precautions, etc.

Your Astronaut Training simulates all real operations on the ORLAN Space Suit outside ISS. The crane-beam clings a Suit and immersion him in water. Swimmers will execute balancing, placing in special pockets on sleeves, legs and back a suit weights of mass about 0.5 kg. This to a ORLAN Space Suit gives zero buoyancy and indifferent balance. Astronaut Training: Neutral Buoyancy begins.

Then you execute one of works which is carried out usually by cosmonauts being in a outer space. You will be supervised by instructors and dive masters as you simulate operating tools and walking in space.

   Day three - Day of departure from Russia. Our guide-interpreter will deliver you to Sheremetyevo International/Domodedovo Airport, Moscow.

We hope for a good condition of your health. The contra-indications are: hypertension of a high level, ischemia, fungous diseases, and oncological diseases.

Your Height should be from 5.41 ft / 1,65 m to 6.23 ft / 1,90 m, normal body-build.

The duration of Astronaut Training: Neutral Buoyancy (from departure before returning) no more than 5.0 - 5.5 hours.You have to send passport information not later than 30 days before Astronaut Training: Neutral Buoyancy. Please, learn others conditions and details of the reservation for this Astronaut Training.

Training in a outside space... in Star City

All the crews cosmonauts which have made an spacewalk, have had training preparation in Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory of the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center. In this Hydrolab of the Russian Star City (Moscow region) you too can test sensations of the cosmonaut working on the external surface of ISS in a ORLAN extra-vehicular Suit. Clad in ORLAN Space Suit, dive into the water as you train for your space walk "outside" ISS, as the participant Astronaut Training: Neutral Buoyancy.


Dates of Astronaut Training:

The Astronaut Training: Neutral Buoyancy is not possible in any workday. On Saturday and Sunday, as well as on Russian official State Holidays the Star City is closed and the Astronaut Training: Neutral Buoyancy is not possible. Therefore, please contact us to specify possible dates of this Astronaut Training in Russian Star City.
